In wintertime there are a wide range of possibilities to ski (30 ski resorts) on ski-runs of different levels of dificulty, from absolute beginners to professional skiers in the near surroundings. It is also possible to ski in the night.
A new-built-up ski resort Javorovica with four ski-lifts and also with an artificial snow is at visitors’ disposal in Liptovský Ján. There are another well-known ski-resorts with an artificial snow (Jasná, SkiPark Ružomberok, Podbreziny, Žiar) in 30 km distant from the guesthouse.

   The thermal swimming pool, one of the most visited, which works in summer, is situated in Liptovský Ján (1 km). Thermal swimming pool in Bešeňová (20 km), which works all the year round, besides other activities, offers also very attractive night swimming.
The biggest aquatic park in Slovakia, AquaPark Tatralandia, with swimming pools (9x), water chutes (21x) and a wild river is situated in 14 km distant from the guesthouse.

   In Liptovská valley (1 km) relax and spa services are offered by The Relax Centre Avena (complex spa services – mud baths, solarium, massage, sauna, indoor swimming pool) and also the hotel Máj (indoor swimming pool with thermal water, sauna, massage).

   There is the natural mineral spring Teplica in the village. People have used it for its curative powers for long decades. There is the unique creation of nature, Kaďa, next to the spring. All the year round it offers us possibility of relax in warm thermal water rising straight from the undeground.

   The Low Tatras (20 km), The Western Tatras and Roháče (15 km) or the High Tatras (45 km) offer unlimited opportunities from an easy tourist walking, throught an alpine tourism along marked footpaths, up to an extreme mountaineering.

   There are two world-famous caves, Demänovská Cave of Freedom and Demänovská Ice Cave in Demänovská valley (20 km). They are open to the public. Tourists can also visit Važecká Cave in the village Važec (35 km).

   In summer the water reservoir Liptovská Mara (10 km), besides bathing and water sports, offers also fishing. Another recreational water reservoir, Oravská priehrada, is 55 km distant.
Rafting with an professional instructor is possible in the water slalom area in Liptovský Mikuláš (8 km).

   Cultural sights in surroundings show past and present of the region: Folk Architecture Reserve (UNESCO) in Vlkolínec (40 km), Museum of Liptov Village (open-air museum) in Pribylina (12 km), Unique Wooden Articular Church in Svätý Kríž (15 km), Jánošík’s Jail and Synagogue in Liptovský Mikuláš (8 km), open-air museum Havránok – reconstruction of original Celtic buildings, which were here 2500 years ago (20 km), Oravský castle (50 km), Folk Festival in Východná (20 km), which takes place every year in the beginning of July.
